Occupational therapy explained
Occupational therapy seeks to harness the benefits of everyday activities (or occupations) to contribute to our health and wellbeing. These occupations range from the necessary (eg. showering) to the productive (eg. volunteering) through to the simply enjoyable (eg. reading), and everything in between! When health challenges interrupt our usual routines, occupational therapy supports a return to familiar occupations and/or discovering new interests that bring meaning and enjoyment.
